Arrival Arusha

Your Tanzania safari begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be met and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. After checking in, you will receive a safari briefing and have time to relax and prepare for the days ahead. The evening is spent at leisure at the lodge, with dinner and overnight in Arusha.

Arusha to Tarangire

After breakfast, depart Arusha and travel towards Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, begin your first full game-viewing experience in Tanzania. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds and distinctive baobab trees, which create a dramatic backdrop across the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day’s game drive before continuing to explore the park through the afternoon. Later, proceed to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Tarangire to Lake Manyara

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire before departing for Lake Manyara National Park. Continue towards Lake Manyara and, after arrival, begin an afternoon game drive through the park. Explore the varied landscape around the lake, looking for tree-climbing lions, flamingos, hippos and other wildlife. The park also provides opportunities for bird watching and photography. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Lake Manyara to Serengeti

After breakfast, depart Lake Manyara and travel towards the Serengeti. The journey takes you through the Ngorongoro area, with an opportunity to visit Olduvai Gorge along the way. Continue through the changing landscapes as you make your way towards the Serengeti. Wildlife viewing begins along the route, with further game viewing as you enter the Serengeti ecosystem. Continue to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Full Day Serengeti

Today is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti. Set out for morning game viewing across the vast plains before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Depending on the season and location, you may encounter wildlife associated with the migration, as well as the Serengeti’s famous big cats. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day’s exploration before continuing deeper into the park. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti Exploration

Continue your exploration of the Serengeti with another full day of game viewing. The day’s route may focus around the Seronera area or extend towards the Western Corridor, depending on the safari programme. Spend the day exploring the park’s landscapes and searching for wildlife while allowing plenty of time for photography and observation. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti Game Drives

Enjoy another full day in the Serengeti, exploring the plains and different wildlife areas. The day is designed around extensive game viewing, giving you further opportunities to encounter the animals that make the Serengeti one of Tanzania’s best-known wildlife destinations. A full-day game drive with packed lunch allows you to spend more time inside the park. For those interested, an optional hot-air balloon safari can be arranged. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, begin your journey from the Serengeti towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy wildlife viewing along the route as you leave the Serengeti behind and travel towards the Ngorongoro highlands. Arrive at the crater rim in the afternoon, where you can enjoy views across the spectacular landscape before settling into your accommodation. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day

Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After breakfast, descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of wildlife exploration. The crater floor provides a remarkable setting for game viewing, with opportunities to encounter a wide range of wildlife, including the Big Five and, with luck, rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch around the hippo pool before continuing with further game viewing across the crater floor. In the afternoon, begin the ascent from the crater and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
